Petals goes to Marizion
What a marvelous day it has been for me. Most of this afternoon was spent clambering on tables and balancing on steps to install the Christmas designs I have been working on for the Mont Haven Hotel in Marizion
It has been a project that I have loved working on because of the variety of design for various locations and the new ideas I have been able to explore. A hanging display to go above the breakfast table proved to be a little taxing but once underway it was a joy to create and it ended up looking fantastic and I think will be a real statement piece this year.
A 6 meter Scandi style garland, with my absolute favourite Sea Holly, now adorns the stair well in the lounge bar and a rather large and lovely half wispy wreath will soon be hanging in the foyer.
I marvel at how far Petals has come in the last 12 months. As I set off to Marizion this afternoon with my car packed with boxes of designs, not only for the hotel but also for St Michaels Mount , I must admit I had a little smile to myself.
But it was back to the workshop tonight to create a couple of overtly Christmassy gold designs in preparation for the Christmas rush and for the Heligan Xmas Market.
Its pretty much 24/7 in Petals most of the year but I LOVE IT !
