What a crazy few days
So we I am back from the foray to London which was, to say the least, interesting. Not as many people at the show as I had hoped and a rather eclectic mix of exhibitors and events.Torrential rain on the final day did not help to the warm fuzzy feeling that was eluding me but that’s life and it all gets put down to experience.
Its been a long couple of days rebuilding the shop and trying to sort out the workshop, with a ridiculous amount of runs up the stairs to the store room, laden with piles of whisky frames and throws.
But in amongst all the hard graft was a delightful interlude spent designing a few ideas for a wedding bouquet, buttonholes and table decorations for a wedding in early June . I also have to put the finishing touches to a garland I have made for a wedding at the Meudon Hotel at the end of this month .
But for the next few day I I think all our eyes are going to be on the big one on Saturday and I can’t wait to see the dress and the flowers… exciting stuff… I read that the florist Philippa Craddock is using Meghans favourite Peonies, as well as Roses & Foxgloves and is an advocate of minimising your carbon footprint so prefers to source locally. Maybe even a quick march around the grounds of Windsor Castle with her secateurs in hand….
Anyway there are lots of other brides building up for their big day this weekend and I wish them all a magical day shared with the most important people in their lives. It’s a day they will never forget and every tiny small part I can play to make it special is a real honour!
I should be back to normal tomorrow and have lots of time to start making lovely things and design some table vases for a wedding that is looming .
Pop in and say hello if you are passing.
See you tomorrow x
