Wow.. hot or what..
What a week we had at Hampton Court Flower Show in July. The temperatures soared and it wasn't only the flowers that wilted.
With readings of 39 degrees C in the marquee, not a breath of wind and thousands of visitors crammed into the aisles, it was rather testing as you can imagine.
The best part of the day was 7am in the morning when we wandered through the show gardens watching the various teams watering and pimping their displays to perfection. What a joy to be able to stand in solitude and look at the glorious gardens rather than jostling for a peep over someones shoulder when the crowds arrive.
Having been a visitor to the show for many years it was a wonderful experience to see behind the scenes and meet the people involved.
The week flew by and no sooner had we finished setting up the stand we seemed to be packing it down and heading back to Cornwall.
We met so many interesting people, talked about some exciting ideas and learnt a lot about how to manage exhibiting at such a large event.
Would i do it again ... oh YES !
